As businesses across the country work out working in lockdown, the teams at Ryan’s, have decamped to work from home, helping to ensure there’s no break in service for customers, colleagues and the community.
As an insurance brokerage, we are used to helping both businesses and individuals to find solutions that will flex to their changing circumstances. So, with many businesses – from sole traders through to small- to medium-sized enterprises and corporates – all looking at ways to diversify and adapt for life in lockdown, the team has been working overtime to make sure they’re covering off any insurance concerns.
“Many of our customers are adapting their businesses and the services that they’re offering to ensure they’re doing their best for their own customers and communities. And they’re looking to us to make sure they have the right levels of cover in place” said Tim Ryan, Executive Chairman for Ryan’s.
“This ranges from checking motor insurance cover for NHS Volunteer Responders or those doing similar volunteering work in their local area during the coronavirus outbreak, through to arranging cover for property owners with holiday lets that are being offered as comfortable isolation homes for use by people who have medical conditions that put them at high risk”.
“While the sorts of adaptations we need to cater for might be a little different, we always work with our customers to make sure the solutions we provide are tailored to the situations they find themselves in. So, while our teams aren’t sitting together in the same offices, we are still able to offer that personalised approach.”
These thoughts are echoed by Tim Larke, director at Ryan’s: “I think if I had to pick one take-away from the last couple of weeks it’s that businesses – or rather, the people behind them – are incredibly resilient. If there’s a way to adapt, and to help others while doing so, that’s what our customers are doing.”
Adapting business is something that the teams at Ryan’s are also doing themselves. Already providing advice and ideas for making life in lockdown easier for both personal and business insurance customers, as the weeks progress, they’ll be adding a series of guidance, advice and tips on working from home, all suggested by the team. This will include handy hacks, as well as some new ways to handle the more challenging moments while from home, rather than in the office.
