Nathan Harvey becomes President of Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex Insurance Institute

Mon 30th May 22

We are delighted and proud to announce that Ryan's claims manager Nathan Harvey has become the President of the Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex Insurance Institute.

Nathan who has been the claims manager at Ryan's for just over three years now has been a very active member of the institute throughout this period, attending conferences, taking part in running events and wellbeing challenges.

Commenting on his LinkedIn Nathan said "we have a great institute council and I would encourage anyone to get involved, there’s so much to be gained. I am very lucky to have the support of the council and the combined experience of such a diverse membership, many of whom are ex-presidents themselves. I am very much standing on the backs of giants going forward. I am also lucky enough to be joined by a fantastic deputy president whom has given 200 percent to the institute every year since joining.

Our path ahead for the next year is clear, we want to get back out in front of people, offer more networking, more face to face events, and more ways to get involved. Our theme for this year focuses on insurance as a community, not just industry. Everyone knows insurance can be a very interconnected place, everyone seems to know everyone, many people have worked together before. Let’s build cooperation and understanding of the insurance community in Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex to maximise chances to work together, collaborate and build relationships.

Our charity focus for this year will be St Elizabeth Hospice. This Suffolk charity cares for thousands of patients and their families throughout Suffolk. These are people living with a progressive or life limiting illness. I’ve witnessed first-hand the incredible care they offered to a most important and vibrant member of my family at the end of her life. Those final days would not have been the same without the hospice.

I look forward to working as President for the next year and hope to engage with as many local members as possible. The local institute is what we as members wish it to be, so get involved and influence it to fit your needs."

We wish Nathan every success with his Presidency, the institute are lucky to have him in the driving seat.
